With social media being an essential part of our daily lives, with mixed opinions on it, some see it a waste of time some see it a fun time killer, well who we have today used social media as a perfect business starter without even realizing it. Our interview today is with the cheerful Farah Khaled.
Farah Khaled is best known for her art, her drawing and design that add a delightful touch wherever it is, since a young age, grade 5 to be exact, Farah has been using Instagram to share her art with the world for no reason but fun, but by the time her art got her to places she couldn’t imagine, as her platform online and her sociable personality paved the way for her to a lot of opportunities in more than one field
With farah currently working as PR head in (sam3ny events) which is one of the best event planners out there lead by, talented and creative team that helps you with all your needs whether you have a prom, wedding, or graduation ceremony it got you covered, with Farah personal instagram having nearly 8000 followers and her naturally sociable character made her perfect for the PR role she has in sam3ny events.
”I think I put my most energy and time in sam3ny events other than any other platform I am working on, being a PR is so much fun and I think if you have the right personality you will not only enjoy it but also be great at it, as I think now there is a lot of opportunites to work in PR I hope along the way I get better at it and it can be my main work aside from my art, but no matter what, I will be a part of sam3ny events, the whole atmosphere around the platform is too good to give away”
As her social media not only promotes her art but helped her in other things too ”Although I started on social media just to have fun with friends sharing the thing that I love with, which is my drawing, by time and as my audience got bigger it became more serious in some way, I think the most important thing when it comes to social media is authenticity and that you enjoy and love doing what you share on social media, just do what you love, show the ambition show the passion and your platform will grow, and when that happens all kinds of opportunities flies in your way.”
Farah also uses social media in business as she was product ambassador and now she is even a partner in Ma3aki which is basically selling products that help women during their period from tampoons to mood boosters, they even have a custom period box, and that’s another position she got through her connections by social media.
Farah is also in 7aret El Fnon and has a role in Artkhana ( one of the biggest art communities in Egypt with all its kinds) also her position as a PR head in Sam3ny Events, where once they planned a prom with Gouna Cinematic Festival theme, where she used her public releations to get actual actors to be there to replicate the actual Gouna Cinematic Festival.
On the other hand, Farah didn’t only have her social media platform promoting herself, as she had an article written about her 2 years ago with the headline 17-year-old farah dreaming about conquering the world with art and teaching people how to draw for free, she even had 3 tv interviews discussing her art, how she promoted her business, what she hopes to do in the future,and how she uses her art to make people’s life better, and how her passion can have a positive impact.
On future plans Farah have a lot in mind ”The biggest thing I am currently working on is starting my own NG organization , I am not going to say what it is about, but It is charitable, and I hope it helps a lot of people.” with Farah being a charitable person trying to do positive things for the community and one of the simplest things is her helping people learn how to draw to spread her art even more.
